I have recently become more knowledgeable about Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Although I have supported a range of neuro-diversities over the years, ADHD is becoming a more widely recognised condition which helps us to understand the individual needs of learners. Whether or not you embrace or reject formal identification or 'labels', acknowledging different learning styles and the importance of personalised strategies is essential for progress to be made. Such concerns are often aired by parents and I am happy to discuss any learning needs at our initial meeting, briefly at the end of a session or - should it be required - a more in-depth in a 30 minute, 1:1 session for parents.
