Stretch and Challenge

As a teacher I have always challenged all of my pupils, regardless of their ability, to reach the next level. I encourage them to reflect on their progress and be proactive in their goals. 

Some children are intrinsically driven to achieve, others, with ability, need persuasion to  realise their potential. Those who strive to excel, often benefit with further direction beyond the classroom. Those who are less enthusiastic are sometimes less likely to respond well to parental input and may respond more positively to the guidance of a tutor.
